Pavlová_Hon
Ludmila Pavlová (violin) & Štěpán Hon (vibraphone)
The collaboration of violin and vibraphone is a combination of two different worlds. The violin, with its shimmering and transparent tone, has the character of a bright point that oscillates and flutters the inner strings of the listener. On the other hand, the vibraphone seems to draw the listener into a darker space where the sound is all around them, yet remains intangible - as if in shadow. And just like a complementary system of yin and yang, these two instruments are ready to come together to create a world in which there is, at times, light, shadow, intimacy, and energetic frenzy.
We combine music with the light and design of the place itself. We like to share with the audience how the sound can inspire us - make us dance or improvise on the spot. We are also working with the voice, percussion, and digital looping device. Duo Pavlová_Hon likes to cross over musical genres - you can hear a lot of classical and contemporary music, mixed with elements of tango and jazz.
